Ellen Thacher Children’s Center (ETCC) offers a nurturing learning environment led by a team of dedicated and caring educators and volunteers who prioritize building strong relationships with every child. ETCC features a play-based and emergent curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia. Curriculum is based on the children's interests, fostering a genuine sense of curiosity and deeper learning. Enrichment programs include Golden Acorn Music for rhythmic and musical experiences, and MyGym for fun, active play activities. ETCC enjoys a vibrant sense of community through family and volunteer engagement. An expansive outdoor play area offers abundant opportunities for children to play, garden, and explore. Our partnerships with Magical Bridges Park and Mitchell Park Library create a learning environment beyond the classroom.
